Review IM2 Broom Unlimited

Kali ini gw pengen sedikit berbagi pengalaman gw memakai koneksi Internet yg gw pake akhir-akhir ini yakni IM2 Broom Unlimited.IM2 Broom sendiri merupakan layanan koneksi internet melalui carrier jaringan Node B alias 3G/3,5G GSM yang dikelola oleh salah satu anak perusahan Indosat yakni IM2.

Nah IM2 sendiri memiliki bermacam2 layanan internet baik pascabayar maupun prabayar. Nah IM2 Broom sendiri termasuk ke dalam layanan tipe prabayar alias bayar dulu baru pakai. Selain itu IM2 Broom pun memiliki 2 tipe yakni IM2 Broom Classic dan IM2 Broom Unlimited.Untuk tipe IM2 Broom Classic menggunakan tipe Kuota namun memiliki speed HSDPA hingga 3,2 Mbps,lebih ditujukan bagi pengguna yang benar-benar membutuhkan kecepatan daripada volume yg dipergunakan.

Sedangkan tipe IM2 Broom yang lain adalah IM2 Broom Unlimited itu sendiri yakni kita dengan membayar Rp.100.000 selama sebulan , akan mendapatkan kuota pemakaian sebesar 2 Gb dengan kecepatan up to 256 Kbps. Bila pemakaian melebihi kuota, kita masih dapat mempergunakannya namun kecepatan koneksi dibatasi hanya up to 64 Kbps tanpa dikenakan biaya tambahan lainnya sehingga dapat dikatakan koneksi internet Unlimited dech. Untuk membelinya cukup datang ke galeri INDOSAT terdekat plus bawa uang sebesar Rp. 150.000 untuk membeli perdana usim-nya ,itu sudah termasuk pulsa sebesar Rp. 100.000.

Gw sendiri sudah menggunakan IM2 Broom Unlimited ini sejak 2 bulan yang lalu tepatnya bulan november 2008, dengan tujuan agar tidak perlu terlalu sering ke kampus ,berhubung sedang mengerjakan skripsi.Sehingga dengan adanya koneksi internet di kos, dapat membantu mencari bahan skripsi tentang computer forensic.

Nah dengan tujuan tertentu kenapa baru saat ini dilakukan review, agar proses review ini dapat benar-benar merepresentasikan kondisi IM2 Broom Unlimited itu sendiri. Karena biasanya pada awal promo koneksi berbeda dengan kondisi normal. Seperti yang gw gunakan koneksi TELKOMSEL FLASH sebelumnya, pada awal-awal bisa dikatakan cepat, namun setelah user membludak ,ternyata sama sekali tidak bisa dikatakan cepat lagi.

Untuk Review kali ini gw menggunakan :

Modem :3G Novatel Wireless U530 Speed Download up to : 384 Kbps dan Upload: 64 Kbps

Alasan membeli sih karena modemnya murah meriah. Kemaren dengan harga sebesar 350 ribu sudah bisa memboyongnya pulang.

Lokasi : Daerah USU Dr. Mansyur Medan dengan status bar sinyal 3G sekitar 3 bar atau -85 dBM

Waktu : 21.00 WIB 1 Januari 2009

Waktu dipilih jam 21.00 WIB diperkirakan dapat menjadi representasi jaringan pada saat kondisi jam padat sehingga lebih mendekati kondisi sebenarnya.

Hasil Review

1. Test koneksi menggunakan Speedtestnya Indosatm2.

2. Test Koneksi menggunakan Speedtest.net lokal Jakarta ( Representasi koneksi ke Jaringan IIX ).

3. Test Koneksi menggunakan Speedtest.net non Lokal Washington Dc ( Representasi koneksi jaringan ke luar negeri ).

Kesimpulan untuk IndosatM2 Broom Unlimited ini cukup baik untuk orang-orang yang membutuhkan koneksi internet murah meriah serta Unlimited sebesar Rp 100.000 dalam sebulannya dan bisa menikmati fasilitas mobile-nya ( terkoneksi di manapun dalam area cover Jaringan Indosat baik GPRS maupun 3G/HSDPA ). Bahkan pada jam-jam tertentu speed koneksi melebihi dari yang ditawarkan sehingga dapat melebihi 256 Kbps.

Namun tentu saja ada beberapa kejanggalan dan anomali yang gw temukan selama pemakaian IndosatM2 Broom Unlimited ini yakni:

1. Sering terjadi DC pada jam-jam padat karena tidak adanya data yang kita receive atau download, padahal saat itu kita sedang meminta request halaman web dan lain sebagainya. Hal ini gw pantau dari Software Bandwith Meter Pro yang digunakan:

Dari grafik bisa dilihat , bahwa hanya upload yang terjadi sedangkan data yang di download tidak ada.

2. Kecepatan di saat jam-jam sibuk kadang tidak stabil sehingga kadang terasa cukup lama membuka suatu halaman web.

Dari grafik bisa dilihat , bahwa data download tidak stabil dan naik turun.

3. Sering kali terjadi pesan Error 619 pada saat mau melakukan koneksi, padahal user dan password dan user name telah benar. Masalah ini kadangkala terjadi untuk waktu beberapa menit bahkan jam.

Saran:
1. Gunakan modem HSDPA agar koneksi lebih baik dan usahakan selalu dalam area yang memperoleh sinyal 3G atau HSDPA yang cukup.
2. Hindari penggunaan di jam-jam sibuk dan padat traffic sehingga koneksi lebih bisa diandalkan.

Semua hal itu sangat tergantung dengan kondisi jaringan dan BTS yang terdapat di daerah kita, serta berapa banyak traffic dan user yang menggunakan BTS tersebut, cuaca pun dapat berpengaruh terhadap kualitas sinyal. Semoga Indosat tetap menjaga kualitas jaringan dan terus menambah BTS node B mereka sehingga pelayanan terhadap konsumen seperti kita ini lebih layak dan baik.

STEPS:

1) Hit windows key + r and then type regedit in Windows ‘Run’

2) Find HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters\Interfaces\ and then select the folder under Interfaces with your IP address or router information on it.(It should be the folder with the most entries in it)

3) Right click in right hand panel and click add new DWORD value named “TcpAckFrequency” in the folder from step 2,right click the entry then click modify and assign a value of 1 hex. Do this again with DWORD entry “”TCPNoDelay” with a value of 1 hex in the same folder.

4) XP USERS: Start > Settings > Control Panel then Add/Remove Programs, Windows Components on the left bar, scroll down and check the entry Message Queuing and click next. VISTA USERS: go to Control panel, uninstall a program, then turn windows features on or off. Check MSMQ Server and its subordinates.

5) Restart your computer.

6) Windows key + r, regedit

7)Find HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\MSMQ\Parameters and right click on righthand panel and add new DWORD value TCPNoDelay, right click entry and assign a modifier of 1. Close registry, restart your computer!

If for some reason you want to change your system back to normal, modify all those earlier registries’ hexidecimal to 2, which turns them off. If this didn’t work for you then recheck that you did everything exactly correct. Enjoy!
